Free HERB FAIR Entry, FREE Parking, FREE Informative Talks
PURPOSE:
To educate the public about herbs.
Capsicum is the 2016 Herb of the year as designated by the International Herb Society.
Pycnanthemum Michx, Mountain Mint is the 2016 Native Herb of the year as designated by the Herb Society of America. We will have educational seminars throughout the day. Watch for details on our Schedule page (Coming soon!).
PROCEEDS:
The Wisconsin Unit of the Herb Society of America provided a horticultural scholarship, (two scholarship recipients in past years) and grant donations to community gardens. We have decided to offer a Culinary Scholarship this year, instead of the Horticultural Scholarship, because of the lack of participants in the Horticultural program.
The following grants were made available through the proceeds of our 2015 Wisconsin Unit Herb Fair:
* Boerner Botanical Gardens Herb Garden
* Old World Wisconsin Herb Garden
* Friends of Boerner - Student Programming including transportation and class materials for students
* Villa Terrace Herbs and brochure
HERB FAIR FEATURES:
Thousands of herb plants and heirloom plants for sale. Expert advice is given.
Artisan demonstrations given at Artisan booths. Educational Seminars throughout the day.
WISCONSIN UNIT TEA ROOM & THYMES SQUARE:
Herbal tea, herbal baked goods, home-made jelly, hand scrubs, and other items made by unit members.

ENTRANCE TO BOERNER BOTANICAL GARDENS IS FREE TO MEMBERS OF THE FOLLOWING: American Horticultural Society, Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens and other reciprocating Groups.
ENTRANCE TO BOERNER BOTANICAL GARDENS IS $5.00 without AHS, FBBG or reciprocating memberships. Membership discounts given by Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens will be available on May 28.
